What's CSA all about?
Community Supported Agriculture refers to members purchasing a harvest share prior to the start of growing season, thereby providing your farmer with capital to launch the season, and ensuring a guaranteed market for produce grown. Members choose to receive a share of vegetables either weekly, or bi-weekly. As "shareholders" of the farm, members share in the inherent risks of farming, and help provide financial stability that allows your farmers to make a living wage.
What makes ours so wonderful?
At Heart City Farm we are devoted to growing you fresh, flavourful and nutritious vegetables while upholding a sustainable and ecological approach to farming. Our CSA shares evolve with the season for a truly local culinary experience. You can expect your favourite market garden staples, as well as some unique varieties to experiment with in the kitchen. We'll also provide some inspiration by sending along a weekly newsletter including share contents and some fun recipes. Our members will not only be spoiled with veggie goodness each week, but will also have access to FarmScore add-ons throughout the season.
What does a share look like?
Early Summer
snap peas, arugula, radishes, bulb fennel, spinach, chinese greens, hakurei turnips, green onions & microgreens
carrots, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, cucumber, beets, salad mix, summer squash, sweet corn & melons
Peak Season
Fall
winter squash, onions, carrots, potatoes, kale, cauliflower, cabbage, parsnips, leeks & radicchio

You're also committed to picking up your share EVERY week during the seaon OR you have a designated family member, friend, neighbour or co-worker to pick up your share while you're away. Averages $40/week depending on time of season
$720/Full Share (10% discount!) OR $375/Bi-Weekly share (alternating for 10 weeks)

Wednesday at Parkdale Night Market from 4-8pm
Saturdays at Westboro Farmers’ Market from 9-3pm,
