Position: Field Crew Member 

 

Duration: May – November 2026 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Field Work: bed prep, seeding and planting, weed management, irrigation management and greenhouse work

  • Harvest Activities: harvesting to order, post-harvest duties (washing & packing)

  • Building Projects: assist with high tunnels, outbuilding & fence maintenance, field storage stations, etc.

  • Indoor Microgreen Activities: harvesting and seeding (including prep work and clean-up)

  • Other: general cleaning and tidying of work areas

 

Qualifications:

  • Able to follow instructions carefully and accurately

  • Maintains attention to detail while keeping a steady pace of work

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Positive attitude, sense of humour and a keen interest in organic farming

  • Willingness to perform physically demanding, repetitive and strenuous tasks

  • Comfortable working indoors in a warehouse setting as well as outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Comfortable working alone and with a team

  • Experience working on organic vegetable farms/gardens is an asset

  • Applicants must have reliable transportation to and from the farm

Position Details:

  • Part-time and Full-time positions available; as we are a small team commitment to a full season of work is very important

  • Work Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 8am-5pm, paid 1hr lunch, start & finish times may be adjusted depending on time of season.

  • Starting Wage: $20/hr. Successful applicants will receive a complementary vegetable share.

  • 2 paid sick days/year

  • $200 work wear reimbursement/year
